tee it up magazine
CASE STUDY
The Challenge
Tee It Up Magazine is a new golf lifestyle magazine published by LA-based Tee It Up Radio Show. This upscale, beautifully designed publication needed a colorful, classy companion site to showcase articles, give magazine advertisers added value with online banners, build subscriptions, and spotlight golf related real estate opportunities. Tee It Up also wanted more marketing outreach so we suggested adding an html email component to their program.
The email and web components needed to retain the quality of the print product, so that as clients, potential advertisers and potential subscribers came online or were exposed to any Tee It Up products they came away with the same brand impression: a quality product created by dedicated people.
The Approach
Our previous, long-term, collaborative relationship with designer Kevin Gilbert made this a great team project. He brought extensive, high-end graphic design talent to the table but had less exposure to designing for the web.
Our role was to first discuss the differences in print vs. web design strategy and graphics and second, optimize the graphics and program the site. At the same time we worked together to create an html email template, "The Tee It Up Reader", that editor George Fuller could update and send out.
The Result
The final result is a classy, well-organized interface that mirrors the magazine and an easy-to-use email program to reach new and potential subscribers and advertisers.
Additionally, links on the newsletter blast have already resulted in increased subscriptions, the sale of a home in Colorado, as well as travel packages sold in Arizona.
